A loud noise near the Radisson hotel in Mahipalpur sparked panic on Thursday after authorities received reports of a suspected blast. Police and emergency teams were immediately dispatched to the area.

According to officials, a commuter travelling towards Gurugram alerted authorities after hearing a sharp explosion-like sound. Initial concerns of a blast prompted a swift response from Delhi Police.

However, after on-ground investigation, officials confirmed there was no explosion. Local enquiries revealed that the noise had been caused by the rear tyre of a DTC bus, which burst while the vehicle was heading towards Dhaula Kuan.

Authorities have since declared the situation completely normal, confirming that there is no threat or cause for concern.
